The 2020 NFL Draft will be here soon and with the Dallas Cowboys working their way through the NFL off-season, let’s take a look at some of the top Cowboys Draft Targets at the safety position. That includes some notable Draft Prospects like Grant Delpit, Xavier McKinney, Antoine Winfield, Kyle Dugger and Ashtyn Davis. However, don’t get your hopes up for Isaiah Simmons. The Dallas Cowboys were on the outside looking in during the 1st round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This year the Cowboys have the #17 overall pick but will there be a safety worth taking in Round1? Grant Delpit and Xavier McKinney appear to be the two prospects who make sense with that pick. Delpit was the higher-rated prospect entering this year, but he’s starting to slide amid tackling issues. Meanwhile, McKinney’s solid play means he has a real chance to be safety #1. Tom Downey, host of the Dallas Cowboys Report, breaks down six safety prospects the Cowboys should target in the draft and as a bonus, throws in some other players to watch. Other Draft prospects at safety might make sense in Round 2. Those include Ashtyn Davis, Antoine Winfield and Kyle Dugger.
