The Cleveland Cavs are off to the Eastern Conference Semifinals after a sweep of the young Boston Celtics, but there's plenty for the team to worry once their second-round series opens next week.
Kevin Love went down with a left shoulder injury after getting tangled up with Kelly Olynyk in the first half, and there's no word (as of this writing) about just how serious the injury is. The Cavs win a physical Game 4, 101-93, but there's a chance their championship hopes took a hit in the process.
Key Number: 3-for-23
The Boston Celtics were absolutely wretched from beyond the arc all day long, bricking the first eleven of their shots from long range. With no hopes of stretching the floor against an active Cavs defense, Boston found themselves dead in the water.
Cleveland MVP:
While he didn't have his best shooting day (10-of-24), LeBron James did LeBron things once again -- combining active work on the boards, deft passing, and his signature scoring touch to finish with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Boston MVP:
Give the consolation prize to big man Jared Sullinger. With the Celtics suffering an ice-cold day outside of the pain, Sullinger did his best (21 points, 11 rebounds) to give the team a threat down low.
What's Next?
Brad Stevens and the Celtics go home for the offseason while the Cavs get some rest before taking on the winner of the Chicago Bulls/Milwaukee Bucks series.
