The 2019 NBA Draft is officially over and the Cleveland Cavaliers added three players in the NBA Draft. Here’s a breakdown of each of the Cavs Draft Picks and a final nba draft grade for the Cleveland Cavs. The Cavs had all three of their picks come in the first round, taking PG Darius Garland out of Vanderbilt, SF Dylan Windler out of Belmont and trading back into the end of Round 1 to take SG Kevin Porter out of USC.
The Cavs’ selection of Garland was just the Cavs taking the best player available, although Garland does present an odd fit alongside fellow PG Collin Sexton. Windler is a pure shooter, one of the best in the class, and offers enough defense to be a 3-&-D option. Finally, Porter is all upside. There’s talent here, but also maturity and coaching issues to iron out.
