CINCINNATI – Xavier Nation took on New York City once again during this year's BIG EAST Tournament and fans traveling to the event were encouraged to show their Xavier pride using the hashtag #XintheCity on social media.
Participating fans shared photos with great frequency on Twitter and Instagram, posting shots in Xavier gear and making the X at various NYC landmarks.
A big hit for a second straight year, #XintheCity reached 376,908 users on Twitter – an increase of 135,908 over last season's contest – while the hashtag was delivered to 952,878 timelines. The hashtag was also found on over 60 photos on Instagram.
