Former Xavier University basketball standout J.P. Macura was transferred to the NBA's Charlotte Hornets from the G League's Greensboro Swarm, just days after former XU teammate Trevon Bluiett returned to the NBA for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Macura and Bluiett met last month in a G-League showdown between Bluiett's Westchester Knicks and Macura's Greensboro Swarm in Greensboro, and both players impressed in the Knicks' 110-99 win.
Macura scored 27 points with six rebounds and two steals in his G-League debut for the Swarm last month, in his team's 114-98 win against Wisconsin.
The Charlotte Hornets signed the undrafted Macura to a two-way contract - meaning he belongs to both the G-League team and the NBA parent club - in July.
