For the second time in as many weeks, Xavier's Chris Mack has been named National Coach of the Year.
Last week, the honor came from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association via the Henry Iba Award. The achievement was bestowed Thursday by Basketball Times magazine.
Mack also is one of the four finalists for the Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Thursday. The other candidates are Bill Self (Kansas), Jay Wright (Villanova) and Tom Crean (Indiana). The winner will be revealed Sunday, April 3, at the Final Four in Houston.
