CONWAY, S.C. - Xavier baseball stayed hot, crossing the plate nine times and securing their fifth-straight win on Friday, knocking off Coastal Carolina in Game One. Despite short rest and overnight travel, the Musketeers woke up early and started the four-game series off on the right foot.
Just two batters in to the game, Jack Housinger launched one to right field, and gave the Musketeers an early 2-0 lead. The Chanticleers didn't get the bat to the ball often, but capitalized when they could with single runs in the first, second, fourth, and fifth while Xavier was quiet at the plate.
