Xavier University's athletic department announced Monday it has mutually agreed to part ways with women's basketball head coach Melanie Moore after four seasons.
“We appreciate Melanie and her staff for their work the last four years. Melanie led the program in a first-class manner, navigated her team through COVID and always focused on what was best for the young women in our women’s basketball program,” Xavier vice president and director of athletics Greg Christopher said in a press release. “We collectively thank Melanie for her efforts and wish her the best moving forward.”
Moore, who was named the eighth coach in Xavier women's basketball history in April of 2019, went 24-81 with the Musketeers.
