The Goonies, a cinematic gang of misfits from the eighties, aren't the only ones who never say die.
Xavier posted another never-say-die performance Sunday in its fourth straight win, 66-54 over No. 17 Villanova – exactly three years to the day since the Musketeers' last win against Villanova – in front of a sellout Cintas Center crowd that sounded possessed by passion.
"Our guys were excited to play," said Xavier head coach Travis Steele. "The crowd was phenomenal. You could feel the energy in the building right when I walked out about two minutes before the game.
