CINCINNATI, OH - Xavier's first game batting second this season went pretty well, as the Musketeers leave Hayden Field with an 8-2 victory over Michigan. In the debut of a newly-turfed Hayden Field, a brief rain shower did little to slow down the Xavier offense.
It was a seesaw start to the game as both the Wolverines and Musketeers got on the board in the first (Tyler DeMartino drove in Xavier's run). Xavier took the lead as Jerry Huntzinger roped a 3-0 pitch into right to score Jared Cushing, but Michigan came back to tie it in the top of the third.
