The script for the Crosstown Shootout contains one word that's always more important than the rest: toughness.
Xavier head coach Travis Steele said at his pre-game press conference that the most talented team doesn't always win the Shootout, it's the toughest, most-together team.
Steele said, "That has to be us on Saturday at 5 p.m.," and much to the delight of the reported 10,811 fans jammed into the Cintas Center, Steele was right.
