Former Xavier University golfer Jason Kokrak earned his first PGA Tour victory on Sunday by holding off Xander Schauffele in the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Kokrak, 35, fired an 8-under 64 in the final round of the tournament, after shooting a 70, a 66 and a 68 on previous days. He finished the tournament 20 strokes under par with a 268.
Last month, Kokrak finished tied for 17th at the U.S. Open. His top finish last year was a tie for third at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Kokrak turned pro in 2008 after graduating from XU in 2007.
