ST. LOUIS, Mo. - A shot at buzzer ended the season for the No. 2 seed Xavier in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night, as seventh-seeded Wisconsin came away with the 66-63 win. Xavier finishes the season 28-6 overall.
Remy Abell and Jalen Reynolds led the Musketeers with 13 points each. Edmond Sumner added 11 for the Musketeers. Nine Xavier players finished in the scoring column in a back-and-forth game where the Musketeers came up just short.
Xavier missed its first four shots from the floor, allowing Wisconsin to jump out to a 6-0 lead to open the game.
