Xavier Drops Road Game at No. 12 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Xavier baseball was undone by a big sixth inning on Wednesday night, falling 6-1 to No. 12 Kentucky at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Xavier (8-17) dropped its second straight, while Kentucky improved to 18-7 overall.

• XU collected just four hits on the night, tied for its third-lowest total of the season.
• Dan Rizzie (1-for-3, BB) picked up a hit for the fourth straight game and is now 14-for-33 (.424) in his last nine games.
Rylan Bannon (1-for-3, 2B, RBI) provided Xavier's first run in the seventh inning, lining a ball down the left field line to score David Morton.
