Even though it carried a few notable injuries into the game, Xavier men's basketball managed an expectedly dominant performance against visiting Thomas More College, a Division III program from nearby Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
The Musketeers closed out their slate of preseason action with a 78-38 win over Thomas More Saturday evening at Cintas Center before an announced crowd of 10,224.
Xavier freshman Naji Marshall scored a game-high 16 points, sophomore Kaiser Gates added 13 and senior J.P. Macura scored 10 points in an abbreviated, 12-minute outing.
Thomas More was led by senior guard Michael Griffin's 15 points and junior guard Brandon Horne's nine points.
