CINCINNATI, OH - Dominant pitching from and held St. John's scoreless and gave Xavier their first shutout victory of the season. It couldn't have come at a better time, as the win clinched a spot as the three seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament at Prasco Park next week.
The scoring started after back-to-back singles in the first inning put the pressure on St. John's starter Joe Joe Rodriguez. He turned to try and pick off at second, but with nobody covering the bag, the throw sailed into the outfield and Huntzinger came all the way around to score.
