Xavier beats Detroit Mercy behind a career night from Quentin Goodin

When Quentin Goodin exited the locker room following a disappointing loss to Missouri on Tuesday, he looked upset and sounded even more upset.

He spoke about sacrifice and dedication and he said it with a look of serious determination.

Friday night, despite the absence of two of Xavier's starters – Naji Marshall and Tyrique Jones, both of whom were injured and did not play against Detroit Mercy – Goodin had a career night and put the Musketeers squarely on his back in a 69-55 win over the Titans where Goodin played all but the game's final 30 seconds and finished with a career-high 22 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
