The Xavier Musketeers are scheduled to host former UC Bearcats head coach Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers in the 2022 Big East-Big 12 Battle on Dec. 4, according to a report Wednesday via Twitter from CBS Sports Jon Rothstein.

XU defeated Huggins and the Mountaineers in overtime, 79-75, in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in Phoenix in March 2008. Sean Miller, who recently returned for his second stint as the Muskies' head coach, was XU's head coach at the time.
Huggins, who completed his 15th season as WVU's head coach, is among Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022 inductees, the Hall of Fame announced in April.
