Over the last few months, Xavier University head coach Travis Steele called recruit Elijah Tucker almost every day. They would discuss how the rising high school senior was training during quarantine and get to know each other better.
During every phone call, Tucker said he got the idea that Steele really wanted him to commit to Xavier.
Tucker did that Friday morning, becoming the second commitment for Xavier's 2021 recruiting class, joining forward Cesare Edwards.
Tucker is a 6-foot-7, 190-pound power forward from Canton, Georgia, who is ranked No. 144 in the country by 24/7 Sports.
