Xavier head coach Travis Steele and junior Naji Marshall discuss the end of a thrilling 66-63 win at Georgetown on Sunday, March 1, 2020 Cincinnati Enquirer
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – If there was ever a time this season when Xavier University's men's basketball team needed to patch together a strong, all-around performance it would probably be Wednesday night (6:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1) against Providence at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
The Friars and the Musketeers are both in the midst of impressive late-season surges, but Providence (17-12, 10-6 in the Big East Conference) has won four straight games and in the month of February alone, the Friars collected six Quad-1 wins – which is three more than Xavier has all season.
