ROCK HILL, S.C. - Xavier baseball set a new season-high at the plate, knocking in 16 hits on the way to a 14-2 win at Winthrop, the fourth straight victory for the Musketeers.
Xavier jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first after Jack Housinger got into scoring position with a one-out triple, then came home on a Luke Franzoni fly ball. In the second, Xavier padded the lead, adding five runs on five hits with Alex Helmin driving in Grant Stephenson on an RBI single, Luke Franzoni picking up a pair of RBIs on a double, scoring Garrett Schultz and Helmin, and Andrew Walker hitting a two-RBI triple to bring in Jack Housinger and Franzoni.
