CINCINNATI - After forcing a deciding game seven in the 2021 BIG EAST Baseball Championship earlier in the day against UConn, Xavier baseball fell in the deciding game seven to the Huskies, 10-6. The Musketeers finished 28-26 overall and as runner's up in the league tournament.
The Musketeers took a one-run lead in the third but a five-run fourth inning for the Huskies put UConn in front, 5-1. The Huskies added two in the fifth to take a 7-1 lead, but Xavier responded with a pair of runs in the next frame to cut it to 7-3.
