CINCINNATI - Xavier baseball hit four homers and led early, but St. John's put on an offensive display to even the weekend series in a 34-7 win on Saturday at Hayden Field.
Xavier dropped to 15-28 (4-7 BIG EAST) as the Red Storm set a new school record for runs scored in a game.
St. John's improved to 27-11 (10-1 BIG EAST) with the win.
• The rubber match in the series is set for Sunday at Noon.
• Xavier got four homers in the game and now has at least one homer in 11 of its last 13 outings.
