INDIANAPOLIS - Xavier baseball got a career-high eight innings from freshman Allbry Major and a three-hit game by Natale Monastra, but fell 6-4 in Sunday's series finale at Bulldog Park.
Xavier fell to 16-31 (5-10 BIG EAST), while the Bulldogs improved to 29-14 overall (6-5 BIG EAST).
• Xavier is back home on Tuesday, facing UC at Hayden Field at 3 p.m.
• XU worked seven walks and collected eight hits in the game, leaving nine runners on base in the loss.
• Conor Grammes was 2-for-5 for a third straight day, collecting an RBI and pushing his hitting streak to a team-leading 13 straight games.
