Xavier Baseball Drops Game Two at Charlotte, 7-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Xavier baseball dropped game two of a weekend series against Charlotte, 7-1, at Hayes Field on Saturday.

The Musketeers drop to 4-6 overall with the setback and will look to salvage a win in the series finale on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Greg Jacknewitz on the bump.

Charlotte improved to 9-2 with the win, the team's seventh straight.

Mitch Gallagher went 1-for-3, knocking in Xavier's lone run on a fielder's choice. He's now 3-for-7 in the series (.444).
Joe Gellenbeck (1-for-4), Conor Grammes (1-for-3, BB), Nate Soria (1-for-4) and Blaine Griffiths (1-for-4) also had hits for Xavier.
