CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis sent seniors and out in style in the final home match of their careers, topping Cincinnati, 4-3, to set a new school record with 17-straight wins on Sunday at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club.
The new school record for consecutive wins tops the previous school record of 16 from the 1995 season.
Xavier claimed the first set in doubles, with and Kaitlin Ruther taking a 2-3 win in the No. 2 spot. Cincinnati came back to claim the No. 3 spot, 6-3, over and .
and , in the No. 1 doubles spot, secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win.
