IOWA CITY, Iowa - Xavier women's tennis picked up the first win of the spring season, topping North Texas, 5-2, at the University of Iowa on Saturday. Xavier took the early lead with the doubles points and the first singles win but the Mean Green pulled even at 2-2 before the Musketeers closed out the win.
"This is an incredible win for our program," said head coach Doug Matthews. "North Texas has a great team and starts three impressive seniors. For us to pull this match off after finishing late last night and playing early this morning shows the toughness this team is capable of.
