CAYCE, S.C. - Xavier women's tennis opened up BIG EAST Championship play by picking up a 4-0 win over Marquette in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals, moving to 15-3 on the season with a sixth-straight win. Xavier advances to the Semifinals on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and will face the winner of the Quarterfinals match between No. 4 seeded St. John's and No. 5 UConn, set for 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Xavier went ahead 1-0 after picking up the doubles point for the 14th time this season. and took a 6-3 win in the No. 2 spot, their ninth double win as a team this season.
