NASHVILLE - Xavier women's soccer closed out the non-conference schedule with a 2-1 win at Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon to move to 7-1-2 on the season.
put the Musketeers ahead in the first half on a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box. The 1-0 lead held until shortly after halftime, when Lipscomb broke an over five-match scoreless streak for the Musketeers to tie the game at 1-1.
The draw held until the 76th minute when used a header to put the Musketeers back ahead, 2-1. Xavier picked up its seventh win of the season, the first time the Musketeers have picked up seven wins in non-conference play since 2013.
