CHICAGO - Xavier women's soccer picked up the first win in program history against DePaul on Sunday, a 3-2 double overtime win, with the golden goal coming from Samantha Dewey on a penalty kick in the fourth minute of the second overtime.
After playing the first half to a scoreless draw, Xavier struck early in the second half with a goal from Allison Klimkowski, and extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal from Grace Bahr. DePaul responded with a pair to force overtime.
Xavier moved to 8-6-1 overall, matching last season's win total with four regular season games remaining.
