WASHINGTON, D.C - A break-through season for Xavier women's soccer came to a close on Thursday afternoon, as the No. 4 seeded Musketeers fell to the top-seeded, and No. 4 ranked nationally, Georgetown Hoyas at Shaw Field.
The Hoyas took the lead on a penalty kick just before the break, and added a pair of insurance goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Xavier got a tally from in the final five minutes, but the Musketeers fell, 3-1, in the BIG EAST Semifinals.
