David West has had a long NBA career since graduating from Xavier in 2003, playing in four different cities over 14 seasons. And his wife has given away a lot of prom dresses in each of those cities.
Lesley West, the wife of the former XU basketball star, continued a prom dress giveaway tradition she started in 2005 in New Orleans - this time in Oakland, where West completed his first season (and is now in the postseason).
West's team, the Golden State Warriors, promoted the event on Twitter:
