Nearly a decade of stability in Xavier basketball's head coaching position could soon be disrupted if Chris Mack opts to leave for the Louisville Cardinals, as some suspect he will.
If those events came to pass, the Musketeers athletic department would wish Mack well but then immediately turn its attention to the school's own robust basketball agenda, and securing the future.
The Xavier job won't be confused with the head coaching gig at Louisville that Mack might be lining himself up for, but it has also never been as enticing as it is today.
