CHARLESTON, S.C. – For the first 24 minutes Sunday night in the championship of the Charleston Classic, it looked like Florida would steamroll Xavier in a blowout and even though the Gators won, 70-65, the Musketeers can hang their hat on the fact that they refused to go away.

In a game where Florida shot 54 percent from the field and led 67-55 with 4:28 left, Xavier put together a 10-1 run, propelled by two massive 3-pointers from Quentin Goodin, to make it a 68-65 game with 1:09 left.

Paul Scruggs had a clean look to tie the game and his 3-pointer bounced and shuffled off the rim and Florida collected the rebound then hit both foul shots to seal it.
