CINCINNATI - Xavier volleyball will make it's first appearance in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship on Dec. 1 where the Musketeers with face the Central Michigan Chippewas in the first round.
Xavier has not earned a spot in the post-season since it's trip to the NCAA First Round in 2007 under the leadership of Floyd Deaton.
A historic season for the Musketeers led to the NIVC bid as an automatic qualifier.
The 2022 season has posted the best record since 2016, the Musketeers have gone 2-0 against five teams in conference, defeated Cincinnati, earned Coach 's 100th career win, and has yielded 21 awards (Pre-Season All-BIG EAST, 1X BIG EAST OPOW, 2X BIG EAST DPOW, 9X BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, 3X All-BIG EAST Team, 1X BIG EAST Tournament Team, 4X CSC Academic All District, BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year).
