When the NBA Draft is conducted Thursday night, Edmond Sumner and Troy Caupain will have more interest than most in Greater Cincinnati.
That's because the two players, both veterans of the fiery Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout and multiple NCAA Tournament runs, represent the best hopes of their respective schools for draft night success.
Sumner's stock has risen steadily despite battling multiple injuries incurred during Xavier's 2016-17 season, one of which effectively ended his Musketeers career early in Big East Conference play this past winter.
Caupain, of the University of Cincinnati, stayed healthy and was able to use two games in the 2017 NCAA Tournament as a stage to boost his draft stock.
