CINCINNATI - Senior left-hander went 7.0 innings in his second start of the season, pitching a perfect game through the first 6.0 innings, to help Xavier (4-7) pick up the 2-1 win in game one of four against Cincinnati (6-8).
Xavier took the lead on a homer in the second inning, then added a run when took a one-out walk, advanced to second and scored on a single. Xavier held the two-run lead going into the seventh inning when the Bearcats led off the inning with a homer, breaking up Olson's perfect outing. Olson remained through the seventh inning, and faced the lead off batter in the eighth before entered to close out the game, preserving the 2-1 win for the Musketeers.
