CINCINNATI - Xavier Athletics officially introduced Travis Steele as the new head men's basketball coach on Wednesday afternoon at Cintas Center. Steele becomes the 18th head coach in program history.
Steele has spent 10 seasons on the Xavier bench, most recently serving as the associate head coach - a position he was promoted to in the spring of 2015. He previously served as an assistant coach.
The Danville, Ind., native assisted in helping the Musketeers advance to nine NCAA Tournaments with five Sweet 16 appearances and one Elite Eight appearance. Last season, Steele helped the Musketeers capture their first BIG EAST Regular Season Title and earn a No.
