INDIANAPOLIS u2012 Xavier's men's basketball team played one of its worst games and paid the price on Friday night in a 69-67 loss at Butler.
Xavier, ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll, essentially wasted the entire first half with its worst shooting performance of any half this season, a season-low 21 points, and added 11 turnovers on top of it.
The 35-21 halftime hole Xavier dug ultimately did the Musketeers in.
"I thought they set the tone really throughout the entire first half," Xavier head coach Sean Miller said of Butler. "They ran too fast for us.
