It was Easter weekend and Dante Jackson was far from his Greenfield, Ohio home, playing in an AAU tournament in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jackson, 17 years old at the time, remembers only two college head coaches in attendance.
"One was Sean Miller. The other was Bob Huggins," Jackson said. "To fly all the way to Little Rock, Arkansas, over Easter weekend when you can be with your family, but Sean knows that there's this AAU tournament. I just remember those little tidbits that ultimately led me to like, you know what, Sean's the guy."
Miller was the first Division I head coach with whom Jackson spoke.
