Xavier head coach Travis Steele on his team's season-opening win on Tuesday over IUPUI Adam Baum, abaum@enquirer.com
Travis Steele's still not the strongest swimmer.
There's a good reason for that.
When he was 5 years old, Steele almost drowned.
He was saved by Todd Lickliter, a man who used to be the head basketball coach at Butler University and the University of Iowa. Lickliter was also Steele's high school coach.
On Saturday, Steele, Xavier's head coach, will reunite with Lickliter when the Musketeers host Evansville, where Lickliter is currently an assistant.
