Naji Marshall and Quentin Goodin spoke to reporters after near triple-doubles in a Xavier win over Eastern Kentucky Saturday night Adam Baum, abaum@enquirer.com
When the floodgates finally opened Saturday night during Xavier's 95-77 win over Eastern Kentucky, it was junior point guard Quentin Goodin who opened the gate and held it open.
Goodin, the man who's started more games than anyone else on Xavier's roster, is the gatekeeper to this team's success.
It's taken some time for him to settle into a new role this season and overcome a preseason shoulder injury, but Goodin seems to have harnessed confidence and comfort, and when he plays accordingly it goes a long way towards a Xavier win.
