CINCINNATI – The Xavier men's golf team ended their spring season in early May at the BIG EAST Championship, while Jose Montaño's season stretched to the NCAA Regional in Franklin, Tennessee. Here's a look at some of the season highlights.
• The men had their best outing at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate over spring break. The Musketeers finished in first overall [892, 22], their first team title since winning the Dayton Invite in 2014.
• Daniel Wetterich finished runner up in his first collegiate tournament at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.
• Jose Montaño finished runner up at the Colleton River Collegiate, the Hoosier Collegiate at Otter Creek, and the Rutherford Intercollegiate.
