PROVIDENCE – As unkind as the road has been to Xavier this season, Saturday afternoon's test at Providence (2 p.m., FOX) is an opportunity for the Musketeers to try and get rolling in the right direction before it's too late.
Xavier's coming off a much-needed win Wednesday night in overtime against Creighton that snapped a streak of six straight losses.
The second loss in that streak came at Cintas Center against Providence, 64-62, in a game in which Xavier committed 18 turnovers and failed on three consecutive possessions at the end of the game to either tie or take the lead.
