The second half Saturday was Xavier's best half of basketball all season and it led to a roadkill rout at Providence, 75-61 Adam Baum, abaum@enquirer.com
NEWARK, N.J. – Not that long ago, Xavier's men's basketball team was stuck in a string of losses, but Wednesday night at the Prudential Center, the Musketeers are in search of a winning streak with a date against Seton Hall (7 p.m., CBSSN).
Xavier's won two in a row over Creighton and Providence, and the Pirates have won three straight – Creighton twice and Georgetown at home.
The motivation should be bountiful for the Musketeers, especially since they're coming off what head coach Travis Steele deemed to be their best half of basketball all season to put away Providence last Saturday.
