On a teleconference call Thursday for the head coaches in the Big East, Xavier head coach Travis Steele said his team took Monday and Wednesday off following Sunday's loss at Creighton, the fifth straight for the Musketeers.
"To kind of get our batteries recharged here," said Steele, in advance of Saturday's home game with DePaul (8 p.m., FS1).
In the midst of a five-game losing streak, Steele said, "You know, it's hard. The losses can pile on and it is hard.
