Forward Kaiser Gates, one of several eligible Xavier University basketball players to go undrafted this past June, has agreed to a training-camp deal with the Chicago Bulls, according to a report via Twitter from The Athletic's Darnell Mayberry.
Gates averaged 6.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14 minutes per game in three games for the Bulls in the NBA Summer League.
Gates' Xavier teammate, Trevon Bluiett, Tweeted Friday that he'll wear No. 5 for the New Orleans Pelicans after he averaged 18.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.8 minutes per game in four games for the team in the NBA Summer League and signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans in July.
