Xavier head coach Travis Steele often talks about wanting his team to peak at the right time. In order for that to happen, the Musketeers need to carry Friday's strong showing against UConn into Wednesday night's game (6:30 p.m., CBS Sports) at Cintas Center against St. John's.
Xavier has a sliver of momentum and now it needs to capitalize on that against a Red Storm team that's stronger than their record would indicate.
"They're unique in a lot of ways," Steele said Tuesday in his pre-game press conference. "They're the second-fastest team in the country in pace of play.
