CINCINNATI --- Senior Paul Scruggs has been named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week after scoring a game-high 29 points, one shy of his career high, in the win over Marquette on Sunday. Scruggs, who recorded his third straight 20-point game, added six assists, four rebounds and three steals against the Golden Eagles.
Scruggs, who leads the BIG EAST Conference in assists at 7.0 apg., is second on the team and 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring at 16.4 ppg. He ranks third in the league in steals at 2.1 spg.
This marks the second time this season that Scruggs has been honored by the BIG EAST Conference, having been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Nov.
