After November and December and their non-stop parade of sexy trips to exotic islands, made-for-TV "classics" and home games with teams from hyphenated, directional schools, the real college basketball season will begin. Maybe by then, Xavier’s basketball team will look a whole lot different than it does right now.
Because after their 77-68 home loss to Wisconsin Tuesday, the Musketeers need some work. Coaches would call it a "teaching opportunity."
Or, they’d put it this way: "November basketball is really ugly," Xavier’s first-year coach Travis Steele said.
